Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request for Reclearance of a
Revised Information Collection
AGENCY: Office of Personnel Management.
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub.
L. 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) has submitted to the Office of Management
and Budget a request for reclearance of a revised information
collection. SF 3106, Application for Refund of Retirement Deductions,
and SF 3106A, Current/Former Spouse's Notification of Application for
Refund of Retirement Deductions, are used by former Federal employees
who contributed to the Federal Employee's Retirement System to receive
a refund of retirement deductions and any other money to their credit
in the Retirement fund.
Approximately 17,125 SF 3106, Application for Refund of Retirement
Deductions will be processed annually. The SF 3106 takes approximately
27 minutes to complete for a total of 7,706 hours annually.
Approximately 13,700 of SF 3106A, Current/Former Spouse's Notification
of Application for Refund of Retirement Deductions will be processed
annually. The SF 3106A takes approximately 6 minutes to complete for a
total of 1,370 hours annually.
