    Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company; Proposed Changes in FERC Gas 
    Tariff
    
    October 2, 1995.
        Take notice that on September 27, 1995 Eastern Shore Natural Gas 
    Company (ESNG) tendered for filing certain revised tariff sheets 
    included in Appendices A and B attached to the filing. Such revised 
    tariff sheets bear proposed effective dates as indicated therein.
        ESNG states that the purpose of the instant filing is to track 
    storage rate changes atttributable to (1) storage service purchased 
    from Columbia Gas Transmission (Columbia) under its Rate Schedules FSS 
    and SST, the cost of which are included in the rates and charges 
    payable under ESNG's Rate Schedules CWS-1 and CFSS-1, respectively, and 
    (2) storage service purchased from Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line 
    Corporation (Transco) under its GSS and LSS Rate Schedules, the costs 
    of which are included in the rates and charges payable under ESNG's 
    Rate Schedules GSS-1 and LSS-1, respectively. This tracking filing is 
    being made pursuant to Section of the General Terms and Conditions of 
    ESNG's FERC Gas Tariff First Revised Volume No. 1. ESNG states that 
    Appendices C and D attached to the filing contain the rate changes and 
    details regarding the computation of the revised CWS-1, CFSS-1, GSS-1, 
    and LSS-1 rates, respectively.
        ESNG states that copies of the filing have been served upon its 
    jurisdictional customers and interested State Commissions.
        Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
    file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
    Regulatory Commission, 825 North Capitol Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 
    20426, in accordance with Rule 211 and Rule 214 of the Commission's 
    Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR Section 385.211 and Section 
    385.214). All such motions or protests shall be filed on or before 
    October 10, 1995. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
    determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to 
    make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to 
    become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
    are on file with the Commission and are available for public 
    inspection.
