Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company; Notice of Proposed Changes
in FERC Gas Tariff
October 3, 1997.
Take notice that on October 1, 1997, Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line
Company (Panhandle) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff,
First Revised Volume No. 1, the tariff sheets listed on Appendix A to
the filing, to become effective November 1, 1997.
Panhandle states that this filing removes from its currently
effective rates the TOP Settlement Cost Surcharge of 1.00 cents per Dt.
established in a July 10, 1991 Stipulation and Agreement (July 10, 1991
Settlement) in Docket No. RP91-53-000. The current volumetric surcharge
in Section 18.3 of the General

Terms and Conditions (GT&C) was approved by the Commission order issued
August 2, 1991, 56 FERC para. 61,210 (1991).
Panhandle further states that this filing removes from Panhandle's
currently effective rates the Settlement Reservation Surcharge of $0.15
per Dt. and Settlement Volumetric Surcharge of 0.60 cents per Dt.
established in a July 15, 1992 Stipulation and Agreement (July 15, 1992
Settlement) in Docket No. RP91-229-000, et al. The current Settlement
Surcharges in Section 18.5 of the GT&C were approved by the Commission
order issued August 28, 1992, 60 FERC para. 61,212 (1992).
Panhandle states that copies of this filing are being served on all
affected customers and applicable state regulatory agencies.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, D.C. 20426,
in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's
Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations.
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants
parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public
Reference Room.
