Information Collection Under Review
The proposed information collection is published to obtain comments
from the public. Public comments are encouraged and will be accepted
for sixty days from the date listed at the top of this page in the
Federal Register. This process is conducted in accordance with the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
This collection will contain the following information:
(1) The title of the form/collection;
(2) The agency form number, if any, and the applicable component of
the Department sponsoring the collection.
(3) Who will be asked or required to respond, as well as a brief
abstract;
(4) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount
of time estimated for an average respondent to respond; and,
(5) An estimate of the total public burden (in hours) associated
with the collection.
Comments and/or suggestions regarding the item(s) contained in this
notice, especially regarding the estimated public burden and associated
response time, should be directed to Ms. Charlotte C. Black, Assistant

anticipate commenting on a form or collection, but find that time to

New Collection
(1) Innovative Community Policing Grants Application.
(2) Form COPS 016/01. Office of Community Oriented Policing
Services (COPS), United States Department of Justice.
(3) Primary: State, Local or Tribal Governments. Other: None. This
collection will be used to collect information relating to applications
to initiate, support, and enhance innovative and collaborative projects
implementing community policing. The information will be used to make
determinations of competitive grant awards.
(4) 4,210 responses per year at 14 hours per response.
(5) 67,781 annual burden hours.
Public comment on this proposed information collection is strongly
encouraged.
