The Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure require all intervenors filing documents with the Commission to serve a copy of that document on each person whose name appears on the official service list for the project. Further, if an intervenor files comments or documents with the Commission relating to the merits of an issue that may affect the responsibilities of a particular resource agency, they must also serve a copy of the document on that resource agency.
k. Description of Request: The applicant requests an amendment of license to replace the two mobile gantry cranes used to operate the ten spillway gates at the Oxford dam with ten fixed hoists mounted on a steel superstructure. The applicant also proposes to widen the spillway pier that is nearest the powerhouse, remove a catwalk along the upstream side of the spillway, reinstall the catwalk along the downstream side of the spillway, and install lighting to illuminate a new upper-level catwalk and the relocated lower-level catwalk. The applicant expects construction to take place from March 2025 through the spring of 2028, during which it would keep at least six spillway gates operational at any time. The applicant does not propose to make any changes to Lake Hickory elevations or releases from the dam during or following construction.
