Pacific Gas and Electric Company, San Diego Gas & Electric 
Company and Southern California Edison Company; Notice of Filings

November 6, 1997.
    Take notice that on October 31, 1997, the California Independent 
System Corporation (ISO), tendered for filing pro forma agreements and 
ISO protocols that it had committed to file with the Commission by 
November 1, 1997. In addition, the ISO submitted proposed amendments to 
the ISO Operating Agreement and Tariff. The ISO states that certain of 
these protocols and proposed tariff changes are submitted for 
informational purposes.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filings should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Rules 211 or 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211, 385.214). All such motions or 
protests should be filed on or before November 21, 1997. Filings must 
include a one page executive summary.
    Protests filed with the Commission will be considered by it in 
determining the appropriate action to be take but will not serve to 
make the protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to 
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public 
inspection.
