Trunkline Gas Company; Notice of Proposed Change in FERC Gas
Tariff
November 6, 1998.
Take notice that on November 2, 1998, Trunkline Gas Company
(Trunkline) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, First
Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff sheets to be effective
January 1, 1999:

Original Sheet No. 217A
Trunkline states that the purpose of this filing is to comply with
the January 21, 1998, Stipulation and Agreement Concerning Gas Research
Institute (GRI) Funding approved by the Commission in Gas Research
Institute, 83 FERC para. 61,093 (1998), order on reh'g, 83 FERC para.
61,331 (1998). Specifically, a voluntary contribution mechanism
provision has been added to the General Terms and Conditions to allow
shippers to make voluntary contributions to GRI in such amounts and for
such GRI research and development projects or project areas as
customers shall specify. Consistent with the Stipulation and Agreement,
this voluntary contribution mechanism is not a pipeline rate, rate
provision nor term or condition of service.
Trunkline states that copies of this filing are being served on all
affected customers and applicable state regulatory agencies.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20426, in
accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's Rules
and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in
accordance

with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to
be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the
proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to
intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and
are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
