    SUMMARY: In accordance with section 102(a)(4)(C) of the Department of 
    Housing and Urban Development Reform Act of 1989, this announcement 
    notifies the public of funding decisions made by the Department in a 
    competition for funding under the Notice of Funding Availability for 
    Intermediaries to Administer Preservation Technical Assistance Grants. 
    The announcement contains the names and addresses of the award winners 
    and the amount of the awards.

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Preservation Technical Assistance Grants 
    program is authorized by section 312 of the Housing and Community 
    Development Act of 1992 (Pub. L. 102-550, approved October 28, 1992) in 
    order to provide assistance to resident groups and Community-Based 
    Nonprofit Housing Developers involved in projects proceeding under the 
    provisions of the Emergency Low-Income Housing Preservation Act of 1987 
    (Pub. L. 100-242, section 201 of the Housing and Community Development 
    Act of 1987, approved February 5, 1988) or the Low Income Housing 
    Preservation and Resident Homeownership Act of 1990 (Pub. L. 101-625, 
    section 601 of the National Affordable Housing Act approved November 
    28, 1990).
        The purpose of the competition was to promote the ability of 
    residents of eligible low-income housing to participate meaningfully in 
    the preservation process established by the Emergency Low Income 
    Housing Preservation Act of 1987 and Low-Income Housing Preservation 
    and Resident Homeownership Act of 1990.
        The 1994 awards announced in this Notice were selected for funding 
    in a competition announced in a Federal Register Notice published on 
    April 6, 1994 (59 FR 16366). Applications were scored and selected for 
    funding on the basis of selection criteria contained in that Notice.
        A total of $35,027,900 has been awarded to 21 Intermediaries 
    Technical Assistance Grant applicants that are located throughout the 
    country. In accordance with section 102(a)(4)(C) of the Department of 
    Housing and Urban Development Reform Act of 1989 (Pub. L. 101-235, 
    approved December 15, 1989), the Department is publishing the names, 
    addresses, and amounts of those awards as follows:
