    Take notice that the following hydroelectric application has been filed with the Commission and is available for public inspection.

    a. Type of Application: Amendment of Exemption.

    b. Project No.: 6952-008.

    c. Date filed: December 12, 2011, and supplemented on October 8, 2012.

    d. Applicant: Water Wheel Ranch.

    e. Name of Project: Water Wheel Ranch Hydroelectric Project.

    f. Location: The Water Wheel Ranch Hydroelectric Project would be located on the North Fork Little Cow Creek in Shasta County, California. The land on which all the project structures are located is owned by the applicant.

    g. Filed Pursuant to: Federal Power Act 16 U.S.C. 791a—825r.

    j. Status of Environmental Analysis: This application is ready for environmental analysis at this time, and the Commission is requesting comments, reply comments, recommendations, terms and conditions, and prescriptions.

    k. Deadline for filing responsive documents: All comments, motions to intervene, protests, recommendations, terms and conditions, and prescriptions due within 30 days from the issuance date of this notice. All reply comments filed in response to comments submitted by any resource agency, Indian tribe, or person, must be filed with the Commission within 15 days from the issuance date of this notice.

Further, if an intervenor files comments or documents with the Commission relating to the merits of an issue that may affect the responsibilities of a particular resource agency, they must also serve a copy of the document on that resource agency.

Description of the project: The amended Water Wheel Ranch Hydroelectric Project would consist of: (1) Relocating powerhouse No. 2, which was destroyed by a forest fire, 850 feet closer to the dam, up the existing penstock, (2) installing a new 100-foot-long tailrace which would discharge into Cedar Creek, 1,400 feet upstream of the current discharge location and (3) appurtenant facilities. The applicant states there would be no change in project capacity.

Any protests or motions to intervene must be received on or before the specified deadline date for the particular application.
