El Paso Natural Gas Company; Notice of Tariff Filing

    November 13, 1995.
Take notice that on November 2, 1995, El Paso Natural Gas Company
(El Paso), tendered for filing pursuant to Part 154 of the Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission Regulations Under the Natural Gas Act, a
revised tariff sheet to its FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No.
1-A and updated procedures to ensure continued compliance with the
Standards of Conduct pursuant to Section 161.3(i) of the Commission's
Regulations as required by Order Nos. 497, et. seq., and 566, et. seq.
El Paso states that the tendered tariff sheet and procedures
reflect the acquisition of Eastex Energy Inc. as a subsidiary of EL
Paso and update the previously filed procedures.
El Paso respectfully requests that the Commission accept the
tendered tariff sheet for filing and permit it to become effective on
December 3, 1995, which is not less than 30 days after the date of the
    filing.
El Paso states that copies of the filing were served upon all of El
Paso's interstate pipeline system transportation customers and
    interested state regulatory commissions.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street NE., Washington, DC 20426, in
accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's Rules
and Regulations. All such motions or protests should be filed on or
before November 20, 1995. Protests will be considered by the Commission
in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve
to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing
are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection
    in the Public Reference Room.
