MEDICARE PAYMENT ADVISORY COMMISSION
Commission Meeting
AGENCY: Medicare Payment Advisory Commission.
ACTION: Notice of Meeting.

SUMMARY: The Commission will hold its next public meeting on Monday,
November 23, 1998 and Tuesday, November 24, 1998 at the Embassy Suite
Hotel, 1250 22nd Street NW., Washington, DC. The meeting is tentatively
scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on November 23, and at 9:00 a.m. on
November 24.
The Commission will discuss demonstration program for frail
elderly, care at the end of life, and its workplan on end-stage renal
disease. It will consider beneficiary financial liability, access to
care, and two quality issues: informed consumer choice and health care
errors. Finally, it will discuss graduate medical education, the
physician fee schedule, and payments to hospital outpatient
departments.
