Statement on Regulatory Burden
AGENCY: Farm Credit Administration.
ACTION: Notice of intent; comment period extension.

SUMMARY: The Farm Credit Administration (FCA) Board extends the comment
period on the Regulatory Burden Notice for 60 more days so interested
parties have additional time to identify those regulations and policies
that impose unnecessary burdens on Farm Credit System (FCS)
institutions.
DATES: Please send your comments to us on or before January 19, 1999.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On August 18, 1998, we published a notice in
the Federal Register seeking information and guidance about how to
reduce regulatory burdens on FCS institutions. The comment period will
expire on November 20, 1998. See 63 FR 44176, August 18, 1998. In
response to a request, we now extend the comment period until January
19, 1999, so you will have more time to respond.
