Information Collections Under Review

DATES: November 19, 1997.
    The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) intends to submit 
the following new public information collection requests to the Office 
of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance under the 
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, 44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). 
These information collections are published to obtain comments from the 
public. Public comments are encouraged and will be accepted for 60 days 
from the date listed at the top of this page in the Federal Register.
    Copies of the information collection requests, with applicable 
supporting documentation, may be obtained by calling the NCUA Clearance

    Title: Year 2000 Quarterly Credit Union Report.
    Description: To obtain information to track credit unions' progress 
toward ``Year 2000'' compliance in order to ensure the safety and 
soundness of individual credit unions and the industry and to provide 
specifically required monitoring reports to respond to ongoing 
congressional and other inquiries.
    Respondents: Federal and State Credit Unions.
    Estimated No. of Respondents/Recordkeepers: 11,335.

The proposed survey will gather information to be used in the policy 
writing process.

area.
