Definition of Club; Hearing Cancellation
AGENCY: Internal Revenue Service, Treasury.
ACTION: Cancellation of notice of public hearing on proposed
regulations.

SUMMARY: This document provides notice of a cancellation of a public
hearing on proposed regulations relating to the definition of a ``club
organized for business, pleasure, recreation, or other social purpose''
for purposes of the disallowance of a deduction for club dues.
DATES: The public hearing originally scheduled for Tuesday, November
29, 1994, beginning at 10:00 a.m. is cancelled.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The subject of the public hearing is
proposed regulations under section 274(a)(3) of the Internal Revenue
Code of 1986. A notice of public hearing appearing in the Federal
Register for Friday, August 12, 1994 (59 FR 41414), announced that the
public hearing on proposed regulations under section 274(a)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code would be held on Tuesday, November 29, 1994,
beginning at 10 a.m., in the IRS Auditorium, 7400 Corridor, Internal
Revenue Building, 1111 Constitution Avenue, NW., Washington D.C.
The public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, November 29, 1994, has
been cancelled.
