Public Information Collection Requirement Submitted to the Office 
of Management and Budget (OMB) for Review

ACTION: Notice.

    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the 
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).
    Title and OMB Control Number: DoD FARS, Part 217, Special 
Contracting Methods, and related clauses in Subpart 252.217 OMB Control 
No. 0704-0214.
    Type of Request: Extension.
    Number of Respondents: 43,300.
    Responses Per Respondent: 1.57.
    Annual Responses: 67,800.
    Average Burden Per Response: 9.5 hours.
    Annual Burden Hours: 641,175.
    Needs and Uses: This collection of information addresses the 
policies and procedures for the acquisition of supplies and services by 
special contracting methods. The information collected hereby, will be 
used to identify sources of supply, as well as to determine if 
contractors are adequately insured, and to evaluate reimbursement 
requests, requests to change place of performance, and proposals for 
over and above work on existing contracts.
    Affected Public: Business or other for-profit; not-for-profit 
institutions.
    Frequency: On occasion.
    Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or retain benefits.
    OMB Desk Officer: Mr. Peter Weiss.
    Written comments and recommendations on the proposed information
