Disposition of Surplus Highly Enriched Uranium Draft
Environmental Impact Statement
AGENCY: Department of Energy.
ACTION: Extension of public comment period.

SUMMARY: The Department of Energy is announcing an extension until
January 12, 1996 of the comment period for the Disposition of Surplus
Highly Enriched Uranium Draft Environmental Impact Statement (draft HEU
EIS).
DATES: The Notice of Availability and invitation to comment on the
draft HEU EIS was originally published in the Federal Register on
October 27, 1995 [60 FR 55021 ]. In response to requests from the
public, the Department is extending the close of the comment period for
the draft HEU EIS from December 11, 1995 to January 12, 1996.

requests for information should be directed to: Office of Fissile
