    Granite State Gas Transmission, Inc., Proposed Changes in FERC 
    Gas Tariff
    
    November 14, 1995.
        Take notice that on November 7, 1995, Granite State Gas 
    Transmission, Inc. (Granite State) tendered for filing to become part 
    of its FERC Gas Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, the following 
    revised tariff sheets, containing changes in rates to take effect on 
    January 1, 1996:
    
    Sixth Revised Sheet No. 21
    Seventh Revised Sheet No. 22
    Sixth Revised Sheet No. 23
    
        According to Granite State, the above revised tariff sheets reflect 
    the Gas Research Institute surcharges approved by the Commission in 
    Opinion No. 402, effective January 1, 1996, as applied to Granite 
    State's rate schedules for firm and interruptible transportation 
    services.
        Granite State further states that copies of its filing have been 
    served on its firm and interruptible transportation customers and on 
    the regulatory agencies of the states of Maine, Massachusetts and New 
    Hampshire.
        Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
    file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy 
    Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
    in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
    Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211, 385.214). All such motions or 
    protests should be filed on or before November 21, 1995. Protests will 
    be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action 
    to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the 
    proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to 
    intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
    are available for inspection.
