    John Chopot Lumber Company, Incorporated, Colville, Washington; 
    Amended Certification Regarding Eligibility to Apply for NAFTA 
    Transitional Adjustment Assistance
    
        In accordance with Section 250(a), Subchapter D, Chapter 2, Title 
    II, of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended (19 U.S.C 2273), the 
    Department of Labor issued a Notice of Certification of Eligibility to 
    Apply for NAFTA Transitional Adjustment Assistance on August 18, 1995, 
    applicable to all workers at John Chopot Lumber Company, Incorporated 
    located at Colville, Washington. The notice was published in the 
    Federal Register on September 1, 1995 (60 FR 45746).
        The Department reviewed the certification for workers at the 
    subject firm. Based on new findings, the Department is amending the 
    certification to include leased workers from the Colville Branch of 
    Pacific Personnel located at Colville, Washington engaged in the 
    production of softwood dimensional lumber for the subject firm.
        The intent of the Department's certification is to include all 
    workers of John Chopot Lumber adversely affected by increased imports 
    from Mexico and Canada.
        The amended notice applicable to NAFTA-00517 is hereby issued as 
    follows:
    
        ``All workers of John Chopot Lumber Company, Incorporated, 
    Colville, Washington, and workers of Pacific Personnel, Colville 
    Branch, Colville, Washington, engaged in the production of softwood 
    dimensional lumber for John Chopot Lumber Company, Incorporated who 
    became totally or partially separated from employment on or after 
    July 3, 1994 are eligible to apply for NAFTA-TAA under Section 250 
    of the Trade Act of 1974.''
