    SUMMARY: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that the 
    reinstatement of a collection of information regarding labeling 
    requirements for color additives (other than hair dyes) and petitions 
    (formerly color additive petitions), has been approved by the Office of 
    Management and Budget (OMB) under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. 
    This document announces the OMB approval number.

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: In the Federal Register of September 10, 
    1996 (61 FR 47756), the agency announced that the proposed information 
    collection requirements on labeling requirements for color additives 
    (other than hair dyes) (21 CFR 70.25 and 71.1), had been submitted to 
    OMB for review and clearance. In accordance with the Paperwork 
    Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501-3520), OMB has approved the 
    reinstatement of the information collection and assigned OMB control 
    number 0910-0185. The approval expires on October 31, 1999. Under 5 CFR 
    1320.5(b), an agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not 
    required to respond to, a collection of information unless the 
    collection displays a valid control number.
