East Tennessee Natural Gas Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in 
FERC Gas Tariff

November 20, 1996.
    Take notice that on November 15, 1996, East Tennessee Natural Gas 
Company (East Tennessee), tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas 
Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, Substitute First Revised Sheet No. 
145 and Substitute First Revised Sheet No. 154, to be effective 
November 1, 1996.
    East Tennessee states that the revised tariff sheets are submitted 
to comply with the Commission's October 31, 1996 order in this 
proceeding. East Tennessee states that, pursuant to such order, the 
revised sheets make clear that East Tennessee is not authorized to 
negotiate terms and conditions of service.
    East Tennessee states that copies of the filing have been mailed to 
all affected customers and state regulatory commissions.

    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Regulations. All such protests must be filed in accordance 
with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to this 
proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
