NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS AND THE HUMANITIES


National Heritage Fellowships Panel; Meeting

    Pursuant to Section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act 
(Pub. L. 92-463), as amended, notice is hereby given that a meeting of 
the Fellowships Panel (National Heritage Fellowships Section) to the 
National Council on the Arts will meet on December 16-18, 1996. The 
panel will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on December 16; from 9:30 
a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on December 17; and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on 
December 18, 1996. This meeting will be held in Room 716, at the Nancy 
Hanks Center, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20506.
    This meeting is for the purpose of application evaluation, under 
the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act of 1965, as 
amended, including discussion of information given in confidence to the 
Agency by grant applicants. In accordance with the determination of the 
Chairman of June 22, 1995, these sessions will be closed to the public 
pursuant to subsections (c)(4), (6) of section 552b of Title 5, United 
States Code.
