    Special Emphasis Panel in Biological Sciences; Amended Notice of 
    Meeting
    
        The time for the Open portion of this meeting has been changed and 
    the notice is being resubmitted as follows. The original notice 
    appeared on November 17, 1994.
        In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-
    463, as amended), the National Science Foundation (NSF) announces the 
    following meeting.
    
        Name: Special Emphasis Panel in Biological Sciences (1754).
        Date and Time: December 8-9, 1994; 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
        Place: National Science Foundation, Room 365, 4201 Wilson 
    Boulevard, Arlington, VA.
        Type of Meeting: Part-Open.
        Contact Person: Dr. Kathie L. Olsen, Acting Deputy Director, 
    Division of Integrative Biology and Neureoscience, Suite 685,

        Purpose of Meeting: To provide advice and recommendations 
    concerning proposals submitted to NSF for financial support.
        Minutes: May be obtained from the contact person listed above.
        Agenda: Open Session: December 9, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to 
    discuss goals and assessment procedures. Closed Session: December 8, 
    9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; December 9, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 
    12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to review and evaluate Research Experiences 
    for Undergraduates (REU) Sites proposals as part of the selection 
    process for awards.
        Reason for Closing: The proposals being reviewed include 
    information of a proprietary or confidential nature, including 
    information; financial data, such as salaries; and personal 
    information concerning individuals associated with the proposals. 
    These matters are exempt under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c), (4) and (6) of the 
    Government in the Sunshine Act.
