This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief from specified requirements of 14 CFR. The purpose of this notice is to improve the public's awareness of, and participation in, this aspect of FAA's regulatory activities. Petition for Exemption

Docket No.: FAA-2012-1113.

Petitioner: Tatonduk Outfitters Limited (dba Everts Air Alaska).

Section of 14 CFR Affected: 14 CFR 23.49(b)(1), Amdt 23-21.

Description of Relief Sought: Everts Air Alaska seeks exemption to certificate and operate Air Tractor, AT-802 and AT-802A airplanes as “special purpose” restricted category with a stall speed (V_SO) in excess of 61 knots. These airplanes would be modified to haul fuel to remote Alaskan populations with an FAA-approved tank system.
