summary: A meeting of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy 
will be held on November 9 in Room 600, 301 4th Street, SW., 
Washington, D.C. from 10:00 a.m.-12 noon.
    The Commission will meet with Ambassador Charles W. ``Chas'' 
Freeman, Jr., U.S. Institute of Peace, former Assistant Secretary of 
Defense, and former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; Dr. Barry Fulton, 
Associate Director, Bureau of Information, U.S. Information Agency; and 
Mr. Michael Beschloss, writer, historian, Senior Fellow and Director of 
the Annenberg Washington Program's Project on Television and U.S. 
Foreign Policy. Participants will discuss the value, purposes, and 
goals of public diplomacy.
