G.E. Power Systems Including Corporate Research and Development
and G.E. Computer Services, Schenectady, NY, and G.E. Power Systems,
Fitchburg, MA; Amended Certification Regarding Eligibility To Apply for
Worker Adjustment Assistance
In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C.
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to
Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on May 18, 1995, applicable to
all workers of G.E. Power Systems, Schenectady, New York. The
certification was amended June 9, 1995, and September 21, 1995 to
include other divisions of the firm. The amended notices were published
in the Federal Register on June 21, 1995 (60 FR 32347), and October 2,
1995 (60 FR 51,500), respectively.

At the request of petitioners, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. New findings show that
worker separations have occurred at G.E. Power Systems in Fitchburg,
Massachusetts. The workers are engaged in employment related to the
production of steam turbines and generators.
The intent of the Department's certification is to include all
workers of G.E. Power Systems adversely affected by imports.
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-30,880 is hereby issued as
follows:
``All workers of G.E. Power Systems, including Corporate
Research and Development, and workers of G.E. Capital Computer
Services providing support services related to the production of
steam turbines and generators at G.E. Power Systems, Schenectady,
New York (TA-W-30,880); and G.E. Power Systems, Fitchburg,
Massachusetts (TA-W-30,880A) who became totally or partially
separated from employment on or after November 19, 1993 are eligible
to apply for adjustment assistance under Section 223 of the Trade
Act of 1974.''
