Notice of petition for exemption received.
SUMMARY:
This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief from specified requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations. The purpose of this notice is to improve the public's awareness of, and participation in, the FAA's exemption process. Neither publication of this notice nor the inclusion or omission of information in the summary is intended to affect the legal status of the petition or its final disposition.

Description of Relief Sought: ST Engineering, on behalf of Elbe Flugzegwerke GmbH, is seeking relief in support of a supplemental type certificate project. The exemption, if granted would permit the carriage of non-crewmembers (commonly referred to as supernumeraries) in the redefined flight deck, forward of the 9g rigid cargo barrier on Airbus Model A320-200 and A321-200 series passenger airplanes converted to freighter airplanes.
