2012-27315. Agency Information Collection Activities: Application for Removal, Form Number I-243; Extension, Without Change, of a Currently Approved Collection

30-Day Notice.

SUMMARY:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will be submitting the following information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection notice was previously published in the Federal Register on August 17, 2012, at 77 FR 49822, allowing for a 60-day public comment period. USCIS did receive a comment in connection with the 60-day notice.

DATES:

The purpose of this notice is to allow an additional 30 days for public comments. Comments are encouraged and will be accepted until December 10, 2012. This process is conducted in accordance with 5 CFR 1320.10.

(4) Affected public who will be asked or required to respond, as well as a brief abstract: Primary: Individuals or Households. The information provided on this form allows the USCIS to determine eligibility for an applicant's request for removal from the United States.

(5) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount of time estimated for an average respondent to respond: 10 responses at 50 hours (30 minutes) per response.

(6) An estimate of the total public burden (in hours) associated with the collection: 5 annual burden hours.
