Notice of Closure of Receivership and Surrender of Licensee

    Notice is hereby given that Vanguard Investment Company, Inc. 
(``Vanguard''), has surrendered its License (No. 04/04-5092) to operate 
as a specialized small business investment company under the Small 
Business Investment Act of 1958, as amended. Vanguard was licensed by 
the Small Business Administration on July 14, 1970.
    Pursuant to a Final Order dated October 24, 1994, the receivership 
was terminated. The surrender of the license was accepted on October 
24, 1994, and accordingly, all rights, privileges, and franchises 
derived therefrom have been terminated.
