Granite State Gas Transmission Company; Notice of Reconversion 
Reserve Status Report

November 3, 1998.
    Take notice that on September 30, 1998, Granite State Gas 
Transmission, Inc. (Granite State) tendered for filing a report and 
reconciliation relating to Granite State's reconversion reserve related 
to the lease extensions with Portland Pipe Line Corporation. The report 
reflects an undercollection of $101,419 which Granite State proposes to 
bill to its firm customers.
    Granite State states that copies of its filing have been mailed to 
all of its firm transportation customers and to the regulatory agencies 
of the states of Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed on 
or before November 10, 1998. Protests will be considered by the 
Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will 
not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Copies of 
this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for 
public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
