National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation; Notice of Tariff Filing
December 4, 1997.
Take notice that on December 1, 1997, National Fuel Gas Supply
Corporation (National) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas
Tariff, Fourth Revised Volume No. 1, Sixth Revised Sheet No. 9 and
First Revised Sheet No. 43 to its FERC Gas Tariff, Fourth Revised
Volume No. 1, with a proposed effective date of January 1, 1998.
National states that pursuant to Article III, Section 1, of the
approved settlement at Docket Nos. RP94-367-000, et al., National is
required to recalculate the maximum Firm Gathering (FG) rate annually
to reflect: (a) the changes in the FG reservation determinants based on
the FG throughput for the prior 12 months ended October 31; (b) an
annual reduction of 2.5 percent in direct Operation and Maintenance
Costs; (c) the costs resulting from operation of Section 2 and 3 of
Article III of the settlement; and (d) changes in the IG revenues to be
subtracted from the Gathering Cost-of Service based on the maximum IG
rate in effect each month during the prior 12 months ended October 31
times the IG throughput for that same period. The recalculation
produced and FG rate of $7.1506 per dth.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C., 20426,
in accordance with Rules 211 or 214 of the Commission's Rules of
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR Sections 385.211 or 385.214). All such
motions or protests must be filed in accordance with Section 154.210 of
the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the
Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken but will
not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person
wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of
this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for
public inspection.
