Notice of Receipt of Applications for Permit
The following applicant has applied for a permit to conduct certain
activities with endangered species. The original notice was published
on November 2, 1995, in FR Vol. 60, No. 212, 55727, pursuant to Section
10(c) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (16 U.S.C.
1531, et seq.). The comment period has been extended for an additional
5 days because of the public interest.
Applicant: Robert Dunn, Sylmar, CA, PRT-807838.
The applicant requests a permit to purchase in interstate commerce
one captive-born female orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) from Last Chance
Farm of Florida for the purpose of enhancement of the survival of the
species through conservation education.

Fish and Wildlife Service, Office of Management Authority, 4401 North
Fairfax Drive, Room 420(c), Arlington, Virginia 22203 and must be
received by the Director within 5 days of the date of this publication.
