[Docket No. RP99-179-000]
Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation; Notice of Proposed
Changes in FERC Gas Tariff
December 7, 1998.
Take notice that on December 2, 1998, Transcontinental Gas Pipe
Line Corporation (Transco) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas
Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, certain new and revised tariff
sheets listed on Appendix A attached to the filing. The proposed
effective date of such tariff sheets is January 1, 1999.
Transco states that the purpose of this filing is to modify the
General Terms and Conditions of Transco's tariff to specify the types
of rate discounts that are permissible and, as such, would not
constitute a material deviation from the pro forma service agreement.
These proposed tariff provisions would be applicable to Transco's Rate
Schedules FT, IT, FT-G, FTN, WSS, ESS, and ISS. Transco has made
corresponding changes in the provisions of each applicable Rate
Schedule to reference the new provisions in Section 40 of the General
Terms and Conditions of its tariff.
Transco states that it is serving copies of the instant filing to
its affected customers and interested State Commissions.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426,
in accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's
Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations.
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants
parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public
Reference Room.
David P. Boergers,
Secretary.
