Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation; Notice of Compliance 
Filing

December 9, 1996.
    Take notice that on December 4, 1996, Transcontinental Gas Pipe 
Line Corporation (Transco) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas 
Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, the tariff sheets listed in 
Appendix A to that filing, to become effective January 3, 1997.
    Transco asserts that the purpose of this filing is to comply with 
Ordering Paragraph (B) the Commission's ``Order on Rehearing,'' issued 
on November 19, 1996, in the captioned dockets, which directed Transco 
to file revised tariff sheets within 15 days from the date of the order 
to reflect exemptions from pro rata capacity allocation for shippers in 
emergency curtailment situations, as discussed in the order.
    Transco states that copies of the filing have been served upon its 
affected customers and interested State Commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's rules and regulations. All such protests must be filed as 
provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests 
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate 
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to 
the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission 
and are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
