Background
On October 10, 2006, the Commission released a Report and Order, FCC 06-149, at 71 FR 66460, November 15, 2006, which incorrectly defined some of the “Data. Telemetry, telecommand and computer communications emissions” under 47 CFR 97.3(c)(2)(ii) and (c)(2)(iii) in the Amateur Radio Service proceeding in WT Docket No. 04-140. The Erratum corrects the rule amendments in §§ 97.3(c)(2)(ii) and (c)(2)(iii) of the Report and Order. The overall effect of this action is to revise § 97.3(c)(2) to conform the rule to the pertinent discussion in the text of the Report and Order.
Need for Correction
As published, the final regulations contain errors which may prove to be misleading and need to be clarified.
