Approval of Expanded Manufacturing Activity Within Foreign-Trade
Zone 196, Fort Worth, TX Area; Nokia Mobile Phones Americas Inc.
(Cellular Phones/Telecommunication Products)
Pursuant to its authority under the Foreign-Trade Zone Act of
June 18, 1934, as amended (19 U.S.C. 81a-81u), the Foreign-Trade
Zones Board adopts the following Order:
Whereas, an application from the Alliance Corridor, Inc., grantee
of FTZ 196, requesting authority on behalf of Nokia Mobile Phones
Americas Inc. to expand authority to manufacture cellular phones and
other telecommunication products under zone procedures within FTZ 196,
Fort Worth, Texas area, was filed by the Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ)
Board (the Board) on May 8, 1995 (FTZ Docket 22-95, 60 FR 26716, 5/18/
95);
Whereas, the Board adopts the findings and recommendation of the
examiner's report, and finds that the requirements of the FTZ Act and
the Board's regulations are satisfied and that the proposal is in the
public interest; and,
Now, therefore, the Board hereby approves the request, subject to
the FTZ Act and the Board's regulations, including Sec. 400.28.
