Notice of Proposed Withdrawal and Notice of Public Meetings; Utah
AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Interior.
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: The Bureau of Land Management proposes to withdraw 131,340
acres of public land to protect the scenic and recreational values of
portions of the Colorado, Dolores, and Green river corridors in
Southeastern Utah. This notice segregates the lands for up to 2 years
from location and entry under the United States mining laws. The lands
will remain open to mineral leasing. This notice also announces two
public meetings.

in connection with the proposed withdrawal may present their views in
writing, by the date specified above, to the Moab Field Office Manager.
The application will be processed in accordance with the
regulations set forth in 43 CFR 2300.
For a period of 2 years from the date of publication of this notice
in the Federal Register, the lands will be segregated as specified
above unless the application is denied or canceled or the withdrawal is
approved prior to that date.
Notice is hereby given that two public meetings, in connection with
the proposed withdrawal, will be held: on January 26, 2000 at 7 p.m. in
the Carbon County Courthouse, Main Street, Price, Utah, and on January
27, 2000 at 7 p.m. in the BLM Moab Field Office conference room, 82
East Dogwood Avenue, Moab, Utah.
