ACTION: Notice.

The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).
Title; Applicable Form; and OMB Control Number: Offered Candidate
Procedures; USMA Forms 2-66, 5-515, 5-516, 5-519, 5-489, 5-490, 5-499,
6-154, 8-2, 534, 847, and FL 689; OMB Control Number 0702-0062.
Type of Request: Reinstatement.
Number of Respondents: 14,200.
Responses per Respondent: 1.
Annual Responses: 14,200.
Average Burden per Response: 5 minutes.
Annual Burden Hours: 1,183.
Needs and Uses: Candidates which have been offered admission to the
U.S. Military Academy provide certain personal, evaluation, and
administrative information in responding to this information
collection. The information collected hereby, enables the West Point
admissions committee to make final admission determinations regarding
applicants. It is also utilized by West Point's Office of Institutional
Research for correlation with success in graduating, and in subsequent
military careers.
Affected Public: Individuals or households.
Frequency: On occasion.
Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or retain a benefit.

recommendations on the proposed information collection should be sent
