Grupo Financiero Banamex Accival, S.A. de C.V.; Acquisitions of
Shares of Banks or Bank Holding Companies; Correction
This notice corrects the notices (FR Doc. 94-467 and FR Doc. 95-
28824) published on pages 1400 and 1401 of the issue for Monday,
January 10, 1994, and on page 58361 of the issue for Monday, November
27, 1995.
Under the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco heading, the entry
for Grupo Financiero Banamex Accival, S.A. de C.V., is revised to read
as follows:
1. Grupo Financiero Banamex Accival, S.A., de C.V., Mexico City,
Mexico; to become a bank holding company by acquiring 100 percent of
the voting shares of Banco Nacional de Mexico, S.A., Mexico City,
Mexico, and thereby indirectly acquire 100 percent of the voting shares
of California Commerce Bank, Los Angeles, California.
In connection with this application, Applicant proposes to acquire
ACCI Securities, Inc., New York, New York, and thereby engage in full
service securities brokerage activities, pursuant to Secs.
225.25(b)(4) and (b)(15) of the Board's Regulation Y. Applicant also
proposes to engage in the following activities which the Board
previously has determined by order to be closely related to banking:
(1) acting as agent in the private placement of all types of
securities; and (2) acting as a riskless principal in the purchase and
sale of all types of securities on the order of investors. Applicant
has stated that it will conduct the proposed activities within the
limitations and prudential guidelines established by the Board in its
