ACTION: Notice of availability.

SUMMARY: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is making available
the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed new
8600 feet Runway 8-26 at Miami International Airport, Miami, Florida.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This notice announces that the FAA is making
available for review and comment to governmental agencies and the
public the DEIS for the proposed new 8600 feet Runway 8-26 at Miami
International Airport, Miami, Florida. Any person may review the DEIS
at the location listed above under the heading, FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
CONTACT. A public hearing is scheduled for February 4, 1998 in Miami,
Florida. Location and time for the public hearing will be announced at
a later date.
Comments may be directed to the individual named above under the
heading, FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT. Comment period expires on
February 20, 1998.
