WARC-1979 and Amateur/Land Mobile Services; Correction
AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Correcting amendments.

SUMMARY: This document corrects two final regulations, 49 FR 2357
(January 19, 1984) and 53 FR 36287 (September 19, 1988), and removes an
expired footnote. The regulations relate to WARC-1979 allocations and
the allocation of spectrum to the amateur and land mobile services.

Need for Correction
As published, the final regulations contain errors and expired
requirements which may prove to be misleading and are in need of
clarification.

PART 2--FREQUENCY ALLOCATIONS AND RADIO TREATY MATTERS; GENERAL
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Accordingly, 47 CFR Part 2 is corrected by making the following
correcting amendments:
1. The authority citation for Part 2 continues to read as follows:
Authority: Sec. 4, 302, 303, and 307 of the Communications Act
of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. Sections 154, 302, 303, and 307,
unless otherwise noted.
Sec. 2.106 [Corrected]
2. In Columns (4) and (5) of the 220-222 MHz band, remove US243,
Land mobile, and the colon after Radiolocation; and add LAND MOBILE.
3. In Column (6) of the 220-222 MHz band, remove Private land
mobile (90); and add PRIVATE LAND MOBILE (90).
4. In Columns (4) and (5) of the 222-225 MHz band, remove US243 and
the colon after Radiolocation.
5. In Column (5) of 222-225 MHz band, remove amateur; and add
AMATEUR.
6. In Column (6) of the 222-225 MHz band, remove Amateur (97); and
add AMATEUR (97).
7. In Columns (5) and (6) between 216-220 MHz band and the 220-222
MHz band, add a horizontal line to separate the two bands.
