Meeting of the Local Government Advisory Committee

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency.

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: The Local Government Advisory Committee will meet on January 
21-22, 1999, in New York, NY. The Committee will host a panel 
discussion with several additional local government associations as a 
continuation of work begun at the previous meeting to build networks. 
Committee members will receive an update on the activities of the Small 
Community Advisory Subcommittee and the Policy Subcommittee since the 
Committee's September meeting. Staff from EPA's Brownfields Office will 
conduct a focus group on Resource Conservation and Recovery Act 
impediments to Brownfields redevelopment. The Subcommittees will meet 
on the 22nd.
    The Committee will hear comments from the public between 11:15-
11:30 am on January 21. Each individual or organization wishing to 
address the Committee will be allowed a minimum of three minutes. 
Please contact the Designated Federal Officer (DFO) at the number 
listed below to schedule agenda time. Time will be allotted on a first 
come, first serve basis.
    This is an open meeting and all interested persons are invited to 
attend. Meeting minutes will be available after the meeting and can be 
obtained by written request from the DFO. Members of the public are 
requested to call the DFO at the number listed below if planning to 
attend so that arrangements can be made to comfortably accommodate 
attendees as much as possible. However, seating will be on a first 
come, first serve basis.

DATES: The meeting will begin at 8:30 am on Thursday, January 21 and 
conclude at 4:00 pm on the 22nd.

Offices located at 290 Broadway in New York, NY.
