Notice of Approval of Final Management Plan for the Rookery Bay 
National Estuarine Research Reserve

AGENCY: Sanctuaries and Reserves Division, Office of Ocean and Coastal 
Resource Management, National Ocean Service, National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of approval and availability of final management plan.

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the Sanctuaries and Reserves 
Division (SRD), Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, has 
approved the revised final management plan for the Rookery Bay National 
Estuarine Research Reserve.
    The Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve was designed in 
September 1978. Pursuant to section 315 of the Coastal Zone Management 
Act, 16 U.S.C. Section 1461, and implementing regulations, the Florida 
Department of Environmental Protection in conjunction with SRD staff 
has produced a five-year management plan that provides a course of 
action for managing the site from 1994 through 1998.
