    Reporting and Information Collection Requirements Under OMB 
    Review
    
    AGENCY: United States Information Agency.
    
    ACTION: Notice of Reporting Requirements Submitted for OMB Review.

    SUMMARY: Under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. 
    Chapter 35), agencies are required to submit proposed or established 
    reporting and recordkeeping requirements to OMB for review and 
    approval, and to publish a notice in the Federal Register notifying the 
    public that the Agency has made such a submission. The information 
    collection activity involved with this program is conducted pursuant to 
    the mandate given to the United States Information Agency under the 
    terms and conditions of the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange 
    Act of 1961, Public Law 87-256. USIA is requesting approval for a 
    three-year extension as well as approval for revisions made to the 
    Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program, United States Information Agency 
    Application for Teaching Positions/Seminars Abroad under OMB control 
    number 3116-0181 which expires March 31, 1995. The proposed revisions 
    are suggested to ensure readability and clarity of instructions for 
    applicants. Estimated burden hours per response is two (2) hours. 
    Respondents will be required to respond only one time.
    
    DATE: Comments are due on or before January 27, 1995.
    
    COPIES: Copies of the Request for Clearance (OMB 83-1), supporting 
    statement, transmittal letter and other documents submitted to OMB for 
    approval may be obtained from the USIA Clearance Officer. Comments on 
    the items listed should be submitted to the Office of Information and 
    Regulatory Affairs of OMB, Attention: Desk Officer for USIA, and also 
    to the USIA Clearance Officer.

    of information (Paper Work Reduction Project: OMB No. 3116-0181) is 
    estimated to average two (2) hours per response, including the time for 
    reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and 
    maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the 
    collection of information. Send comments regarding this burden estimate 
    or any other aspect of this collection of information, including 
    suggestions for reducing this burden to the United States Information

    ABSTRACT: To be used by applicants under the Fulbright Teacher Exchange 
    Program which provided opportunities for U.S. teachers to exchange 
    positions for designated periods with foreign counterparts, or to 
    attend one of a number of short-term seminars abroad on a variety to 
    topics.
    
    PROPOSED FREQUENCY OF RESPONSES: No. of Respondents--940; Total Annual 
    Burden--1880.
