    under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Public Law 104-13. Comments

    Farm Services Agency
        Title: Loan Deficiency Payments.
        Summary: The making of loan deficiency payments (LDP) is authorized 
    by the Agriculture Act of 1949, as amended. To be eligible for a LDP, a 
    producer must meet the same eligibility requirements as if they were 
    applying for a regular price support loan and must agree to forgo 
    obtaining a loan or purchase agreement on the production on which a LDP 
    is requested. Producers wishing to obtain a LDP must furnish 
    information about the class and quantity, and the location of the 
    commodity on which the payment is requested.
        Need and Use of the Information: The purpose of the information is 
    to determine eligibility to receive LDP, establish the quantity, 
    quality, and location of the commodity, and to determine payment 
    accounts in accordance with the regulations.
        Description of Respondents: Individuals or households; Business or 
    other for-profit; Farms.
        Number of Respondents: 114,961.
        Frequency of Responses: Annually.
        Total Burden Hours: 40,337.
