Northern Natural Gas Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC 
Gas Tariff

December 21, 1995.
    Take notice that on December 15, 1995, Northern Natural Gas Company 
(Northern), tendered for filing changes in its FERC Gas Tariff, Fifth 
Revised Volume No. 1.
    Northern states that the filing corrects the Stranded Account No. 
858 surcharge, which was filed on December 1, 1995. Therefore, Northern 
has filed Substitute 7th Rev Seventeenth Revised Sheet Nos. 50 and 51 
and Substitute Twenty Fifth Rev Sheet No. 53 to revise the surcharge to 
be effective January 1, 1996.
    Northern states that copies of this filing were served upon the 
Company's customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Sec. 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. Pursuant to Sec. 154.210 of the 
Commission's Regulations, all such protests must be filed not later 
than 12 days after the date of the filing noted above. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken in this proceeding, but will not serve to make protestant a 
party to the proceedings. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for inspection.
