FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
[DA 97-2676]
Telecommunications Relay Services; FCC Form 431
AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Notice.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that in an Order on Telecommunications
Relay Services and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (Order),
adopted December 22, 1997, and released December 22, 1997, the
Commission calculated the contribution factor for the period April 26,
1998 through March 26, 1999 for the Telecommunications Relay Services
(TRS) Fund. The contribution factor should ensure adequate funding of
TRS. The Commission also approved the TRS payment formula for the 1998
calendar year. The payment rate will compensate TRS providers for the
reasonable costs of providing interstate TRS. In addition, the
Commission adopted the 1998 TRS Fund Worksheet, FCC Form 431, subject
to approval by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), which
incorporates the new contribution factor and will be used by carriers
in filing their TRS Fund contributions.

the period April 26, 1998 through March 26, 1999. All subject carriers
