    Take notice that on December 14, 1999, Columbia Gas Transmission 
Corporation and Columbia Gulf

Transmission Company (Columbia Pipelines) tendered for filing a 
response to the Commission's order issued on November 24, 1999 in the 
above-referenced proceeding.\1\

    In the response Columbia Pipelines states that in the event that 
any Y2K-related communication failure that would render the NAVIGATOR 
system inaccessible through the normal electronic bulletin board 
process, the Columbia Pipelines are offering to all shippers several 
alternative methods to schedule their nominations.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE, 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed on 
or before December 28, 1999. Protests will be considered by the 
Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will 
not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Copies of 
this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for 
public inspection in the Public Reference Room. This filing may be
