December 23, 1999.
    Take notice that on December 8, 1999, Iroquois Gas Transmission 
System, L.P. (Iroquois) tendered for filing a response to the 
Commission's order issued on November 24, 1999 in the above referenced 
proceeding.\1\

    Iroquois states that in the event that any Y2K-related 
communication failures during the Y2K rollover period it will not 
impose penalties that might otherwise apply when their occurrence is a 
result of good faith efforts to work within the contingency plan.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed on 
or before December 28, 1999. protests will be considered by the 
Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will 
not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Copies of 
this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for 
public inspection in the Public Reference Room. This filing may be
