Sumas International Pipeline Inc.; Notice of Request for Waivers

December 23, 1999.
    Take notice that on December 21, 1999, Sumas International Pipeline 
Inc. (SIPI), filed a request for waiver of GISB electronic and 
interactive web site standards until its Part 284 shippers request that 
SIPI implement those standards on its system.
    SIPI states that its waiver request is consistent with waivers 
granted by the Commission for comparable interstate pipelines.
    SIPI states that copies of the filing have been mailed to all 
customers of SIPI and other Interested Parties.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should 
file a motion to intervene with the Federal Energy Regulatory 
Commission, 888 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20426, in accordance 
with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and 
Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed on or before 
December 30, 1999. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to 
make protestants parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to 
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection
