Pacific Gas and Electric Company Humboldt Bay Power Plant, Unit
No. 3; Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility
Operating License
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted
the request of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (the licensee) to
withdraw its November 23, 1994, application for proposed amendment to
Facility Operating License No. DPR-7 for the Humboldt Bay Power Plant,
Unit No. 3, located in Humboldt County, California.
The proposed amendment would have revised the facility technical
specifications pertaining to liquid radioactive effluent limitations.
The Commission has previously issued a Notice of Consideration of
Issuance of Amendment published in the Federal Register on March 1,
1995 (60 FR 11139). However, by letter dated December 9, 1996, the
licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the
application for amendment dated November 23, 1994, and the licensee's
letter dated December 9, 1996, which withdrew the application for
license amendment. The above documents are available for public
inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room, the Gelman
Building, 2120 L Street, NW., Washington, DC, and at the local public
document room located at the Humboldt County Library, 1313 3rd Street,
Eureka, California 95501.
